[Call for abstracts] Tropical inter-basin interaction: processes, pathways and predictability

The newly established CLIVAR Research Focus on "Tropical Basin Interaction" is now inviting abstracts on "Tropical inter-basin interaction: processes, pathways and predictability" for its session at this year's AGU fall meeting.
Please find below the detailed information on the session. We are looking forward to your contributions.
Abstract:
Two-way interaction between the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Ocean basins is increasingly recognized as a key factor in understanding climate variability on interannual to decadal timescales. While recent years have seen progress toward understanding inter-basin interaction, much remains to be learned. This session will highlight studies that examine atmospheric and oceanic pathways of inter-basin interaction, as well as their mechanisms. We welcome observational studies, paleoclimate studies, and modeling studies with models of any complexity (from toy models to global climate models). Potential topics include, but are not limited to, the influence of the tropical Atlantic and Indian Oceans on ENSO; variability of the Indonesian throughflow; and decadal-to-interdecadal modulation and projected changes of basin interaction. Studies examining the potential benefit of basin interaction for seasonal prediction are also welcome, as are studies examining how climate model biases affect the simulation of basin interaction.
Note that this session (and likely the whole AGU fall meeting) will be held virtually!
