Ocean Synthesis/Reanalysis Intercomparison Project
At the CLIVAR/GODAE Meeting on Ocean Synthesis Evaluation, held at ECMWF, UK, in August 2006, several ocean systhesis efforts produced outputs for a collaborative intercomparison assessment of the existing global analysis/synthesis products. These intercomparison assessment followed an evaluation framework developed in the white paper produced by Lee and Stammer, the "CLIVAR/GODAE Global Synthesis Evaluation Framework".
A Second CLIVAR/GODAE Meeting on Ocean Synthesis Evaluation is planned to happen on 24-25 September 2007 at the MIT, USA.
Results of the intercomparison effort are summarised in the documents below.
