Nansen Tutu Center Summer School on Ocean, Climate and Marine Ecosystem
The Nansen Tutu Center Summer School on Ocean, Climate and Marine Ecosystem will focus on the Agulhas Current, the Benguela upwelling system and the Tropical Atlantic and will deal with field observations, remote sensing and modelling.
All the topics covered during the Summer School fit well with CLIVAR core science, and in particular with the Research Focus on Marine Biophysical Interactions and Dynamics of Upwelling Systems. The Summer School is co-sponsored by PREFACE, ResClim, CLIVAR and BMBF SACUS Spaces, among others.
30 students will attend lectures given by local and overseas scientists, many being affiliated to CLIVAR. Social activities will be plentiful to promote and strengthen interaction between students and scientists.
