Announcement of selected trainees for CLIVAR-FIO Summer School
Following the announcement of the CLIVAR-FIO Summer School on: “Past, present and Future Sea level changes”, we received over 200 applications with excellent research experience coming from 39 countries around the world. During the selection process, the Organizing Committee considered the education background as well as the scientific expertise of each candidate, in order to identify the most qualified candidates for our Summer Course. We also aimed to achieve the widest possible geographical distribution of the trainees, and a gender balance distribution. With these considerations, 43 students from 29 countries were finally selected as trainees for the CLIVAR-FIO summer School in 2018. We congratulate all selected participants for this achievement and we look forward to fruitful interaction in the coming Summer course.
